Mercy is currently a Senior Associate at Moroom Africa, a leading commercial law firm in Lagos Nigeria. She is a seasoned legal practitioner recognized for her exceptional work ethic, deep dedication to her craft, and ability to deliver strategic, practical, and commercially sound solutions to both individuals, SMEs and corporate entities. She has successfully managed complex litigation, advised on cross-border transactions, and supported regulatory compliance for corporate clients. With her multidisciplinary background, she bridges the gap between technical legal frameworks and real-world business needs.
An alumna of Igbinedion University, Okada, Mercy obtained her LLB Degree before being called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2014. Over the years, she has honed her skills across various areas of law. She is a trusted legal adviser, delivering insightful counsel and representation that empowers her clients to navigate challenging legal terrains with confidence.
Beyond her client-facing practice, Mercy is also a prolific writer and thought leader. She has authored several articles and contributed to the Nigerian chapter of the Chambers Real Estate Guide 2023, showcasing her expertise and thought leadership in the field. She has also been involved in policy development for NGOs, including drafting safeguarding, gender, and partnership working policies for healthcare organisations, reflecting her versatility and commitment to social impact.
